Re-Dedication of Michaelian Office Bldg. (White Plains, NY)
Westchester County, NY, will formally re-dedicate its “Edwin Michaelian Office Building” in a special ceremony on Friday, Sep. 13, at 10 a.m., on the premises of the building itself (148 Martine Ave., White Plains, NY). Michaelian was the 4th and longest serving Westchester County executive, whose time in office (1958-1973) coincided with the critical post-war boom, and brought him into contact with such figures as President Eisenhower (seen here) and then-Vice President Nixon. The building dedicated in his name was built 40 years ago, following Edwin’s death. Its re-dedication on Sep. 13 will coincide with a celebration of Armenian culture, contribution, and community in Westchester County. Diocesan Primate Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan will be among the dignitaries speaking at the gathering. To view a flyer, click here.
