The Cultural Committee of St. Thomas Church (Tenafly, NJ) will present a “Khatchkar Master Class,” on Friday & Sunday, Oct. 11 & 13, at the church facility (174 Essex Drive, Tenafly). Narine Poladian, Armenia’s first female khatchkar artist, will teach participants to carve a khatchkar (cross-stone) in traditional Armenian patterns on a small piece of Armenia’s native volcanic tuff stone. The two separate sessions run Friday, Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. Open to adults and youth over 12. Each session is limited to 15 people, so reserve a place early.
