The Kirikian Armenian School of St. Thomas Church of Tenafly, NJ, will begin the academic year on Saturday, Sep. 14, starting at 9:15 a.m., at the church (174 Essex Dr., Tenafly). Golf

Holy Ascension Church of Trumbull, CT, will hold its annual Golf Tournament on Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the Harry B. Brownson Country Club (15 Soundview Ave., Huntington, CT). St. Vartan Cathedral is calling all youth ages 10-16, to come together on Friday, Aug. 16 for a fun evening of games, good food, and prizes. It begins at 7 p.m. at the cathedral’s Haik and Alice Auditorium (630 Second Ave., at 34th St., NYC), with dinner and getting to know each other, followed by group activities, a video and discussion, and free time to play games and make new friends.
