Armenian Diaspora Survey: Share Your Views Online
The Armenian Diaspora Survey (ADS) is a public opinion study project that launched this past spring in the United States and Canada. The study is funded by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and administered by the Armenian Institute in London. The survey will be running online in the U.S. through July 29, 2022. Answers will remain anonymous and the results will be made public early next year through the ADS website. Find and complete the online questionnaire at www.armeniandiasporasurvey.com. ONLINE READING GROUP: The Poetry of Tenny Arlen
The Eastern Diocese’s Krikor and Clara Zohrab Information Center is hosting a dual-language summer reading group, which will meet online via the Zoom video platform, on five Thursday evenings between June 23 and July 21, at 7 p.m. EDT. The group will study the newly-published volume of poetry, To Say With Passion: Why Am I Here? (Կիրքով ըսելու՝ինչո՞ւ հոս եմ), by the late Tenny Arlen. Each session will be led by a different facilitator, around a cluster of poems from the volume. Readings and discussion will take place in both Armenian and English. ONLINE SEMINAR: The Science of Denial & False Beliefs
St. Leon Church (Fair Lawn, NJ) will hold a 4-session online seminar, “Grey Wolves and Pink Elephants: The Science of Denial and False Beliefs,” examining scientific research on denial and false beliefs. Prof. Khatchig Mouradian (Columbia U.) will lead the four 90-minute sessions, surveying research on aspects of false beliefs and their propagation, and delving into case studies from the U.S., Turkey, and Armenia.
