St. Thomas Church of Tenafly, NJ, will hold its 59th anniversary banquet on Palm Sunday, Mar. 24, at the church (174 Essex Dr., Tenafly) following the celebration of the Divine Liturgy (1 p.m.). Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Church of Providence, RI, will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the church choir on Sunday, Mar. 3, during a special gathering following badarak, in the church’s Egavian Cultural Center (70 Jefferson St., Providence). All are welcome; click the link to view a flyer.

Holy Martyrs Church of Bayside, NY, will host a book-signing and research presentation on Saturday, Mar. 2, at 1:30 p.m. at the church (209-15 Horace Harding Expy., Bayside). Pastor Fr. Abraham Malkhasyan (Ph.D.) will be joined by co-authors Dr. Armen Khachikyan and Dr. Mikayel Malkhasyan to discuss their new study, The Current Stage of the Demographic Transition in the Republic of Armenia. Dr. Khachikyan will also speak about his research on “Public and Security Problems in Armenia.” Dr. Jesse Arlen of the Eastern Diocese’s Krikor and Clara Zohrab Information Center will be the moderator. The Parish Council of the Armenian Church of Jacksonville Mission Parish joyfully announces the consecration of its new church. Diocesan Primate Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan will consecrate the church under the name “St. Nerses Shnorhali,” on Saturday, Mar. 2, at the site of the new church (3900 Atlantic Blvd., Jacksonville, FL). This will be the first church consecrated by the Primate since his ordination as a bishop. Seating for the service is limited and by invitation only; however, all are invited to the reception with Bishop Mesrop in church hall following the ceremony, from 3-5 p.m.
