The annual Times Square commemoration of the Armenian Genocide will be held on Sunday, Apr. 22, at 2 p.m., at 43rd St. & Broadway, New York City. St. Vartan Cathedral in New York will mark Sts. Vartanantz Day on Thursday, Feb. 8. A dinner and program will follow badarak (beginning at 6 p.m.) in Haik and Alice Kavookjian Auditorium. Guest speaker Lara Setrakian; performance by St. Vartan Armenian School and the Astghikner Junior Vocal Ensemble of Brooklyn’s St. Gregory Mission Parish. A benefit concert to help support the Cathedral Choir will take place at New York’s St. Vartan Cathedral on Saturday, Feb. 3, at 7:30 p.m. Soloists from the choir—Anahit Zakaryan, Anoosh Barclay, Hasmik Mekanejian, Solange Merdinian, and Alvard Mayilian—will perform under the direction of Maestro Khoran Mekanejian; Hayk Arsenyan will play piano.
