Sts. Joachim and Anne Church in Palos Heights, IL, will mark its 60th anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 14. The parish will welcome Diocesan Primate Very Rev. Fr. Daniel Findikyan to preside over badarak at the church (12600 S. Ridgeland Ave. Palos Heights). Following services, the Primate will preside over a celebratory dinner at Georgios banquet hall in Orland Park. The Eastern Diocese’s Krikor and Clara Zohrab Information Center will welcome Fr. Garabed Kochakian, priest and specialist in Armenian art and architecture, on Thursday, Oct. 11., at 7 p.m., for a presentation titled, “Holy Building, Holy Place: The Breath of Faith and Worship in St. Vartan Cathedral.” The talk in the sanctuary of St. Vartan Cathedral (630 Second Ave., New York) is part of the Zohrab Center’s lecture series marking the cathedral’s 50th anniversary.
