The Holy Martyrs Church of Bayside, NY, will hold a ceremony to re-name 210th St. (b/n Horace Harding Expwy. and 58th Ave.) as “Armenia Way,” on Sunday, Sep. 30 at 12:30 p.m. The public is invited to join the parish, local politicians, and community leaders in the dedication and celebratory fellowship to follow. At St. David Church of Boca Raton, FL, the academic year for its Alex & Marie Manoogian Armenian and Sunday School will begin on Sunday, Sep. 16, at the church (2300 Yamato Rd., Boca Raton). Classes for toddlers through 7th grade. Additionally, the parish will begin offering chess lessons on Saturday, Sep. 15, 10:30-11:30 a.m., in the church’s Mardigian Hall; view a flyer for details. St. James Church, Watertown, MA, will hold its 71st annual bazaar on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 12-13, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. both days, at the church facility (465 Mt. St. Thomas Church of Tenafly, NJ, will begin holding chess and painting classes for children, starting on Saturday, Sep. 15, at 1:30 p.m., at the church facility (174 Essex Dr., Tenafly).
