Book Presentation: “My Story: Hagop Vartanian”

  • Open

The Eastern Diocese’s Krikor and Clara Zohrab Information Center will host a book presentation of My Story: Hagop Vartanian (1873-1950), on Friday, Sep. 28, at 7 p.m., in Guild Hall of the Diocesan Center (630 Second Ave., New York City). Vartanian’s published diary offers a unique perspective on the Armenian Genocide: of an Armenian who had migrated to America prior to the massacres, and experienced it horrors as they touched his family thousands of miles away. The evening will go forward in conjunction with a pilgrimage to St. Vartan Cathedral by parishioners of the St. James Church of Evanston, IL; descendants of the author will introduce the book and the story of the diary; Fr. Hovhan Khoja-Eynatyan will read excerpts. To view an informative flyer, click here.
