The Eastern Diocese’s Krikor and Clara Zohrab Information Center will welcome Dr. Christine Maranci of Tufts University on Friday, Nov. 2, at 5:30 p.m. (please note the time), for a lecture titled, “The Glorious House: Armenian Church Architecture and the Rite of Foundation.” The talk in Guild Hall of the Diocesan Center (630 Second Ave., New York) is part of the Zohrab Center’s series marking St. Vartan Cathedral’s 50th anniversary. New York’s St. Vartan Cathedral will host a “Christmas at the Cathedral” concert on Saturday, Dec. 15, at 7:15 p.m., in the cathedral sanctuary (630 Second Ave., New York City), with Diocesan Primate Very. St. Leon Church of Fair Lawn, NJ, will present a 5-week multi-media course on modern Armenian history, titled “100 Years of Activism: From the First Republic to the Velvet Revolution,” led by Dr. Khatchig Mouradian.
