The Cultural Committee of Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Church (Providence, RI) will hold another program in its online series, “Armenian Cultural Hour” on Friday, Aug. 14, at 7:30 p.m. This week’s program will feature “Melodies of the Night and of the World,” a live concert from Egavian Hall featuring Joanne Mouradjian (soprano) and Mari Panosian (piano). VEMKAR, the Eastern Diocese’s new educational initiative, is inaugurating an online discussion series based on its pilot module, “Christ as Healer.” The first effort in the series, “A Live Conversation with Bishop Daniel,” is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 7 p.m. EDT. The Eastern Diocese’s Krikor and Clara Zohrab Information Center will host another evening of instruction in classical Armenian, titled “Krapar yev Kini,” on Thursday, July 30, at 7 p.m. EDT, over the Zoom video conference platform and the Zohrab Center’s Facebook page. Additional gatherings in this series will meet on the last Thursday of the month through the summer.
