The Primate’s Visit to Kansas City (Feb 23rd, 2025)

Yesterday, the St Garabed Armenian Church was privileged to have Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan visit the Kansas City mission parish, and celebrate the Divine Liturgy with the faithful community. Though small in number, the St Garabed parish is mighty in faith, embodying the resilience, heritage, and unwavering spirit of the Armenian Christian identity.

It was a true joy for the parish and the Bishop to share in fellowship, break bread together over some classic Kansas City barbecue, and engage in meaningful discussions about the future of the Kansas City church. The mission parish even gifted Bishop Mesrop a Kansas City Royals jersey!

“This visit reaffirmed my belief in the power of unity and the importance of strengthening the bonds between all our parishes,” says Bishop Mesrop. “When we stand together in faith, vision, and mission, we are indeed stronger.”

Bishop Mesrop would like to thank Fr. Voskan Hovhannisyan and the Kansas City Parish Council for their warm hospitality and dedication. May God’s grace continue to fortify and guide this extraordinary community on its spiritual journey.
