The Primates of the Armenian Church’s three diocesan jurisdictions in North America met on February 7, 2019, to discuss ways to collaboratively advance the church’s mission among the people and communities under their pastoral care.
As arrangements go forward for the episcopal ordination of the Diocesan Primate, the Very Rev. Fr. Daniel Findikyan, the Eastern Diocese is announcing a “pilgrimage” to Armenia for those who wish to witness the consecration in person.
The Vicar of St. Vartan Cathedral, Fr. Mesrop Parsamyan, delivered a talk at the St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church in New York City, on January 26.
He addressed the church’s Lay Ministers Enrichment Team, offering insights into St. Gregory of Narek’s powerful Book of Prayers as an example of the Armenian Christian tradition of prayer.
The displacement of refugees has been an international concern in recent years. A talk at the Eastern Diocese’s Krikor and Clara Zohrab Information Center looked at a related humanitarian emergency from a century ago, that developed at the Caucasus front following the Armenian Genocide.
