IN-PERSON CONCERT: Tmbata Orchestra of Armenia, in NYC
New York’s St. Vartan Cathedral complex will host a concert by the Tmbata Orchestra, on Saturday, Apr. 1, at 8 p.m. (doors open at 7 p.m.), at the Diocesan Center (630 Second Ave., at 35th St., NYC). Founded by Arik Grigoryan at the Tumo Center in Yerevan, Tmbata Orchestra known for its original blend of rock, experimental, and Armenian folk music. IN-PERSON EVENT: A Literary Evening with Shushan Avagyan
Join the Eastern Diocese’s Krikor and Clara Zohrab Information Center, along with the International Armenian Literary Alliance (IALA) and the National Association for Armenian Studies & Research (NAASR), for a live literary evening on Wednesday, Mar. 29, at 7 p.m. EST, in Guild Hall of the Diocesan Center in New York City (630 Second Ave., at 35th St., New York). Armenian author Shushan Avagyan will present her volume titled, A Book, Untitled, with translator Deanna Cachoian-Schanz and academic Dr. Lisa Gulesserian (click here to learn about and purchase the book; copies will also be sold at the event). The ACYOA is holding regional, day-long Lenten retreats, for ACYOA Seniors across the Eastern Diocese. The retreats will be facilitated by the ACYOA Central Council in partnership with a host parish in each region. The retreats will take place in the following regions, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.:

- NEW ENGLAND (St. James Church, Watertown, MA): Saturday, March 11
- NEW YORK/NEW JERSEY (Holy Martyrs Church, Bayside, NY): Saturday, March 11
All young adults, clergy, and youth workers are encouraged to join one of the four, day-long regional retreats, to explore the three pillars of Great Lent: Fasting, Charity, and Prayer.
