Sunday, Nov. 1, from 11 to 11:45 a.m., a “Relay for Artsakh” geared to all ages of Sunday School students, at St. Mary Church of Livingston, NJ (200 Mt. Pleasant Ave., Livingston). The event will start with a 10-minute Artsakh/Armenia history talk, then all children will begin the walk to see how many “laps” they can do around the church. Parents can help their children assemble pledges from friends/family, and make a list of pledges (name of contributor / donation per lap); please bring your pledge sheet on Nov. 1. The Center for Holocaust and Genocide Education at NJ’s St. Elizabeth College will hold an online lecture by keynote speaker Dr. Taner Akçam on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 4 p.m. EST, on the Zoom video platform. His subject will be “The Relationship Between Truth and Denialism: The Case of Turkey and the Armenian Genocide.” (This program was originally scheduled for spring 2020 as the center’s annual Armenian Genocide commemoration, but postponed due to the pandemic.)
