VEMKAR Announces 12 New “Adult Christian Education” Sessions

The Eastern Diocese’s digital ministries initiative, VEMKAR, has announced its new series of online Adult Christian Education sessions, scheduled to go forward through the spring of 2022.

The spring series is a follow-up to the meaningful semester of fall 2021. VEMKAR’s Adult Christian Education series is an online program that aims to help the faithful of the Armenian Church become mature disciples of Christ. Each session is led by an expert from our Diocesan community; topics concern all aspects of adult Christian life.

For the spring semester, 12 Adult Christian Education sessions are scheduled to run weekly on Tuesday evenings, from February 1 through April 26, over the Zoom video conference platform. The inaugural session on February 1 will feature Dr. Abraham Terian, speaking on St. Nersess Shnorhali,

Future speakers and topics include Bishop Daniel on Psalm 50/51, Fr. Garabed Kochakian on the Art of Holy Week, Dn. Yervant Kutchukian on the concept of Voghormoutiun, Fr. Haroutiun Sabounjian on the Arevakal service, Fr. Mesrop Parsamyan on the Spirituality of Fasting—and others.

As before, the only requirements to participate are a prayerful attitude, a bible, and a desire to grow in one’s knowledge of Christ. Click the following links to register for the spring semester, and to view the archived recordings of the fall semester.
