Inspirational and In-Person: Upcoming ACYOA Activities

The ACYOA Central Council is excited to be resuming in-person ministries. This week marks the return of its ACYOA Seniors Mission Trip in Atlanta. In addition, ACYOA is sponsoring two future in-person opportunities for young adults of the Eastern Diocese:

ACYOA Seniors National Lenten Retreat

The ACYOA Seniors National Lenten Retreat is a weekend-long program, taking place March 25-27 at the St. Iakovos Retreat Center in Kansasville, WI. All young adults (18 years old and over) are welcome to participate. Sessions will be led by area clergy, with a focus on Great Lent.

Registration for all participants (including clergy and youth workers) should be done by March 1. Click here to register online, and visit the ACYOA website for information, including a flyer and fact sheet.

ACYOA Armenia Service Program (ASP)

The ACYOA Armenia Service Program will take place July 5-26. Fr. Hratch Sargsyan, pastor of St. Gregory of Narek in Cleveland, OH, will lead this year’s trip to help guide young adults from across our Diocese on a journey to their homeland. This summer, service opportunities will be organized with the Fuller Center, Camp Aragats, the Fund for Armenian Relief, and FAR’s Ayo! platform.

ASP provides young adults, 18 and older, a unique opportunity to affirm their faith, discover their homeland, and serve its people in a meaningful way. Participants return home enriched and inspired by their experience, and eager to strengthen their bond with the homeland and church. ASP participants should register by April 1; click here to register. A fact sheet and detailed itinerary are available on the ACYOA website.
