The Cultural Committee of Sts. The Deacons’ Fellowship of the Eastern Diocese will hold a six-week, online “Armenian Alphabet Course” on Monday evenings at 8 p.m. EST, beginning Jan. 16, 2023 (and thereafter meeting on Jan. 23 & 30; and Feb. 6, 13 & 20). The course taught over the Zoom platform is aimed at altar servers, choir members, and others who have a desire to learn the Armenian alphabet, to begin reading the Armenian texts in Divine Liturgy and music books. The Gomidas Choir will present a concert celebrating the 65th anniversary of the choir, on Saturday, May 20, at 7:15 p.m., in the sanctuary of St. Vartan Cathedral (630 Second Ave., New York). Under the auspices of Diocesan Primate Fr. Mesrop Parsamyan, the choir will perform under the direction of Kris Kalfayan, with guest artists Huyser Music Ensemble, pianist Ari Terjanian, and Lousaper Youth Choir of Holy Martyrs Church. St. John the Baptist Church of Metro Milwaukee, WI, will observe the feasts of the Ghevontiantz and Vartanantz saints on Thursday, Feb. 16, with services at the church (7825 W.
