The Eastern Diocese’s Krikor and Clara Zohrab Information Center will host a lecture on Thursday, Dec. 12, at 7 p.m., in Yerevan Room of the Diocesan Center (630 Second Ave., at 35th St., New York City). Tamar Purut will give an interactive talk on the life and legacy of the medieval Armenian poet Frik, titled “Frik’s Relatable Freakshow: Echoes of Faith and Endurance for Confronting Today’s Geopolitical Turmoil.” Admission is free; all are welcome. E-mail zohrabcenter@armeniandiocese.org for details. St. Sahag & St. Mesrob Church of Wynnewood, PA, will hold its annual Christmas Festival on Friday and Saturday evenings, December 6 and 7, 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the church facility (630 Clothier Rd., Wynnewood). St. John the Baptist Church of Metro Milwaukee, WI, will mark its 82nd anniversary on Sunday, Nov. 10, starting at 10 a.m., with luncheon to follow, at the church (7825 W. Layton Ave., Greenfield). Get involved with the NextGen Leaders of the Eastern Diocese! Join your peers and be a part of a unique experience, created especially for our NextGen Leaders, to worship and meditate in a uniquely Armenian way. A 30-minute, participatory service at New York’s St. Vartan Armenian Cathedral will deliver age-old Armenian traditions, brought forward into a contemporary city context. It meets on the first Monday of each month. Upcoming gatherings are scheduled for Nov. 4 and Dec. 2. The start time is 6:30 p.m., and the half-hour service will be followed with light refreshments and time to mix and mingle with friends. Open to all.
