St. Gregory the Illuminator Church of Chicago, IL, will host its annual Armenian Fest on Saturday, Aug. 10, 5-10 p.m., and Sunday, Aug. 11, noon-7 p.m., on the church grounds (6700 W. The Newark Museum will host a concert-performance of Gorky’s Dream Garden—a musical-theater opera of love, courage, & modern art—on Saturday, Sep. 7, at the museum (49 Washington St., Newark, NJ). A pre-concert spectacle starts at 1:30 p.m., with the performance starting at 2 p.m. The multi-media show based on the life of Arshile Gorky is by award-winning composer Michelle Ekizian; this live performance includes stars from ballet, opera and Broadway.
