Employment Opportunities at the Eastern Diocese

The Diocese of the Armenian Church of America (Eastern) is currently seeking candidates to fill three positions: Social Media Specialist in the Communications Department, Grant Writer under the Development Department, and Executive Director of the Eastern Diocese.

The Social Media Specialist will write news and feature stories for the print, digital, and online platforms of the Diocese. The position will contribute to the Diocese’s e-Newsletter; manage and create daily content for its social media platforms; do on-site reporting of events and developments in and around the Diocese; work with ministries staff and local parishes on their communications needs; among other duties.

The Social Media Specialist will assist and report to the Director of Communications.

The Grant Writer is a part-time, freelance position, that will work under the Director of Development to secure funding to support the organization’s programs and projects, aligning with strategic goals and mission.

Responsibilities include researching, preparing, and submitting proposals, applications and reports to secure both restricted and unrestricted funding. The ideal candidate would possess excellent research, writing, and organizational skills and have a broad understanding of fundraising strategies.

The Executive Director will be responsible for all administrative and operating functions in the Diocese of the Armenian Church of America (Eastern). This includes oversight of Administration and Operations, Finance, Communications, Facilities, Business Function/Rentals, Development, and Information Technology. The Executive Director will coordinate with the Director of Ministries for executional aspects; manage Human Resources services, including salaries; and provide support as needed.

The Executive Director will report directly to the Primate and the chair of the Diocesan Council, in accordance with the directives and policies established by the Primate and the Diocesan Council.
