The Eastern Diocese’s Department of Ministries has released a downloadable Advent Calendar to guide young faithful and their parents in the season leading to Christmas.
Each day features a Bible verse from the gospels of Matthew and Luke, which record the Nativity story of Jesus Christ, so readers can follow the story of our Lord’s birth day by day.
The major church feasts and fasts are also indicated on the Advent Calendar, to help families focus their daily activities on the message of God’s incarnation, as they progress to the Feast of the Nativity and Theophany of Jesus Christ on January 6, 2024.
