The Eastern Diocese is pleased to announce some new additions to the Diocesan operations, taking up key roles on the Department of Ministries staff.
Deacon Hovannes Khosdeghian has joined the Ministries department as its new Armenian Language Ministry Manager. He joined the staff at the start of February. Trained as a scholar during his education as a member of the Mekhitarist order, Dn. Hovannes has a distinguished record of service in Armenian education and research. He has created and led Armenian language programs at every level, from university students to young children, including a long tenure as principal of the Armenian School of St. Vartan Cathedral, where Dn. Hovannes also serves on the altar. He can be contacted via e-mail at DnHovhannes@armeniandiocese.org.
Mano Baghjajian also joined the staff in early February, as the Department of Ministries’ new Multimedia Specialist. Mano is a recent graduate of New York University, where he earned a Master of Arts in Journalism. He brings to his new role an extensive experience in video production, news, and documentary filmmaking, acquired through years of work in his native California, as well as in Armenia. He can be contacted via e-mail at Mano@armeniandiocese.org.
Both are valuable additions to the Diocesan team, who bring enthusiasm and strong skills to their respective roles. Filling these key positions strengthens the outreach of the Diocesan Ministries department, as it moves forward with its plans for our Diocese and parishes, under the leadership of interim director Fr. Hratch Sargsyan. Please join us in welcoming them, and may our Lord Jesus guide and inspire them in their efforts.
