On December 18, 2022, Paul Mardoian of Sts. Joachim and Anne Church in Palos Heights, IL, was presented with the “St. Nersess Shnorhali Medal,” in recognition of his many years of service to the Armenian Church, the Eastern Diocese, and his home parish.
This week marked the end of an era at the Diocesan Center in New York, as the Executive Secretary in the Office of the Primate, Mary Berberian Petrossian, retired from her many years of loyal service to the Armenian Church and the Armenian-American community.
The Eastern Diocese’s newly formed “Armenian Language Council” held its inaugural online meeting in mid-January, led by Primate Fr. Mesrop Parsamyan, with interim Director of Ministries Fr. Hratch Sargsyan.
The Diocese has a limited number of its 2023 calendar available for those who did not receive their copy by mail.
As part of its effort to reach more deeply into local parish communities, the Eastern Diocese has appointed a new “Children and Family Ministry Council,” to advise on relevant educational and pastoral matters across the Diocese.
