Artsakh Under Attack: A Message From Our Primate

Dear Friends:

We awoke this morning to news that weighs heavily on our hearts: Azerbaijan has launched large-scale military attacks against Artsakh. This has resulted in the shelling of peaceful communities, and even the targeting of Artsakh’s capital city, Stepanakert.

In times like this, we turn to our faith for strength and guidance. The people of Artsakh, our brothers and sisters, need our prayers now more than ever. As the Psalms assure us: “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those crushed in spirit” (Ps 34:18).

My friends, I urge you to take a moment today to pray for the safety and well-being of all affected. May God shield them in His grace, provide them with peace in this time of chaos, and guide those in positions of authority to a resolution that safeguards human dignity and life.

Let us stand united in prayer, asking for God’s merciful intervention in this grave situation.

Prayerfully,

Fr. Mesrop Parsamyan
Primate
