This year’s edition, titled Persistence of Our People, pays tribute to three monumental works of the Armenian Christian heritage: the majestic Church of St. Hrpisime in Armenia, the exquisite Church of the Holy Cross on Aghtamar Island in Lake Van—and the modern “offspring” of these historic churches, New York’s St. Vartan Cathedral.
Exquisite images by gifted photographers capture the physical grandeur and spiritual beauty of these great works of Armenian ecclesiastical architecture, while drawing attention to the features they share in common.
