The worldwide Armenian Church Youth Organization (ACYOWorld) held its meeting of chairpersons on July 12. Clergy and youth leaders from across the globe joined in the online gathering, with the encouragement and blessing of His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.
In all, some 90 participants took part in the ACYOWorld chairs meeting, representing 37 dioceses from Armenia and the diaspora, as well as from the Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople.
Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of America and longtime spiritual leader of ACYOWorld, presided over the event.
The Eastern Diocese was represented by Fr. Hratch Sargsyan, the interim Director of Ministries of the Eastern Diocese, who oversees its youth-related departments and programing.
Topics of discussion at the meeting included plans for a series of regional youth forums to be held later this year, and preparations currently underway for a worldwide youth pilgrimage to the homeland, marking the 25th anniversary of ACYOWorld, under the theme: “The Christian Family: An Anchor of the Armenian Identity.”
Fr. Tovma Khachatryan, ACYOWorld’s Spiritual Rector and director of its central office, made presentations on both of these endeavors, and in general encouraged more frequent collaboration among the youth organizations of Armenian Church dioceses around the world. In that spirit, an additional meeting of chairs was scheduled for September, to coincide with the re-opening of the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin and the Blessing of Holy Muron that will take place at that time.

ՀԵՀԵՄ Ատենապետներու Եօթներորդ Ժողով
Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոս Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Բ-ի օրհնութեամբ, յուլիս 12-ին տեղի ունեցաւ ՀայԵկեղեցւոյ Համաշխարհային Երիտասարդական Միաւորումի (ՀԵՀԵՄ) Ատենապետներուն Եօթներորդժողովը, առցանց ձեւաչափով:
Ատենապետներու ժողովին մասնակցեցան Հայաստանէն եւ Սփիւռքէն 37 թեմերէ ինչպէս նաեւ ՊոլսոյՀայոց Պատրիարքութենէն՝ 90-է աւելի հոգեւորական եւ աշխարհական պատասխանատուներ:
Ժողովին նախագահեց Բարձրաշնորհ Տէր Յովնան Արքեպիսկոպոս Տէրտէրեան, Ամերիկայի Արեւմտեանթեմին առաջնորրդը եւ ՀԵՀԵՄ-ի երկար տտարիներրու հոգեւոր Ատենապետը:
Հոգեշնորհ Տէր Հրաչ Սարգսեան, Տեղակալ Տնօրէն Ամերիկայի Արեւելեան թեմին ՀոգեւորԱռաքելութիւններուն, կը ներկայացնէր Ամերիկայի Արեւելեան թեմը:
Օրակարգի հարցերն էին 2024 տարուան կատարուելիք Տարածաշրջանային Հանդիպումները, եւ 2025 տարուան ՀԵՀԵՄ-ի 25-ամեակին նուիրուած “Քրիստոնեայ Ընտանիքը Հայ Ինքնութեան Խարիսխ” խորագիրով համահայկական ուխտագնացութեան պատրաստութիւնը:
Հոգեշնորհ Հայր Թովմա Վարդապետ Խաչատրեան, ՀԵՀԵՄ-ի հոգեւոր տեսուչ եւ Կեդրոնականգրեսենեակին տնօրէնը, ներկայացուց այն տարածաշրջանները ուր տեղի պիտի ունենան յառաջիկայհանդիպումները: Ան կարեւորեց ՀԵՀԵՄ գրասենեակին եւ թեմերուն միջեւ գործակցութեան եւ կապիապահովումը, ինչպէս եւ ծրագիրներու փոխանակումը:
Որոշուեցաւ սեպտեմբեր ամսուն եւս մէկ ժողով գումարել, Սրբալոյս Միւռոնի օծման եւ Սուրբ ԷջմիածնիՄայր Տաճարին վերօծման հանդիսութիւններուն համադէպ:
