Oriental Orthodox Church Conference Hosts Annual Youth Gathering
The Standing Conference of Oriental Orthodox Churches will host its sixth annual youth conference and gathering on Saturday, June 24 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., at St. Mina Coptic Orthodox Church in Homdel, NJ. The gathering’s topic will be on Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth, featuring speaker Fr. Peter Farrington. Admission is $20 with an advance online RSVP and $25 at the door. Father’s Day Celebration in Boca Raton
St. David Church of Boca Raton, FL, will host “A Tribute to Dad,” a Father’s Day celebration, on Saturday, June 17 at 8 p.m. Mezze, dinner, and dessert will be served and international singer Bartev will perform live. Food Festival at Hye Pointe
The Armenian Church of Hye Pointe in Bradford, MA, will host its 2017 Armenian Food Festival on Friday, June 2 from noon to 6 p.m., and Saturday, June 3 from noon to 6 p.m., at its Family Life and Cultural Center. In addition to Armenian and Mediterranean fare, vendors will be on site selling items on June 3 and raffles will also take place. Admission is free and parking is free. Zohrab Center to Host Poetry Reading
The Diocese’s Krikor and Clara Zohrab Information Center will host an evening with Susan Barba, whose 2014 collection of poems, Fair Sun, includes a series on the author’s grandfather, a survivor of the Armenian Genocide
