Susan Barba, Fair Sun

The Diocese’s Krikor and Clara Zohrab Information Center will host an evening with Susan Barba, whose 2014 collection of poems, Fair Sun, includes a series on the author’s grandfather, a survivor of the Armenian Genocide

Shushi Dance Ensemble

The Shushi Dance Ensemble of St. Vartan Cathedral of New York will celebrate its 25th anniversary on Saturday, May 13, at the John J. Breslin Theater at Felician University in Lodi, NJ. The Armenian Church of the Holy Ascension of Trumbull, CT, will host a spring dance on May 20, 2017, at 7 p.m., at its newly redecorated Agahigian-Sherinian Hall. The dance will feature a live band, the Harry Bedrossian Ensemble, and mezze and beverages will be served while alcohol is BYOB. Entertainment will also be provided for children. Admission is $25 for adults with advance ticket purchase, $30 at the door; ages 12-20 $10 and children under 12 are free. The Cultural Committee of Sts. Sahag and Mesrob Church of Providence, RI, and the Armenian Martyrs’ Memorial Committee of Rhode Island are sponsoring the screening of Vigen Chaldranian’s film “Alter Ego.” The film will be screened on Saturday, April 22, at 6:30 p.m., in the Egavian Cultural Center of Sts. St. Leon Church of Fair Lawn, NJ will host a lecture by Ümit Kurt on his research concerning two perpetrators of the Armenian Genocide in Aintab.
