Armenian Genocide Commemoration in Binghamton, NY
IN-PERSON GENOCIDE GATHERING: St. Gregory the Illuminator Church of Binghamton, NY, will hold an Armenian Genocide commemoration on Saturday, Apr. 24, at 11 a.m., at the city’s Genocide Monument (Conklin Ave., at south end of S. Washington St. Bridge). A brief prayer service and program will mark the Feast of the Holy Martyrs of the Armenian Genocide. ONLINE WEBINAR: Teaching the Armenian Genocide with Film & Testimony
A webinar on “Teaching the Armenian Genocide with Film and Testimony” will take place on Wednesday, Apr. 14, from 4 to 6 p.m. EDT, as part of a professional development workshop for educators that is also being made open to the public. The webinar is a collaborative effort of the Armenian Assembly of America, the USC Shoah Foundation, Wayne State University’s Center for the Study of Citizenship, and Wayne State University’s Cohn-Haddow Center for Judaic Studies. As part of the workshop, special guest speaker Dr. Carla Garapedian, associate producer of The Promise, will offer a behind-the-scenes analysis into how the film was made and elaborate on inspirational scenes.

ONLINE LECTURE: “Behind the Soldier” Photo Presentation of Artsakh War
Holy Trinity Church of Cambridge, MA, will host an online lecture titled “Behind the Soldier: A Virtual Presentation,” on Thursday, Apr. 22, at 7 p.m. over the Zoom conference platform. Documentary photographer Winslow Martin. Martin will chronicle via words and pictures what he witnessed in Armenia during the war with Azerbaijan.
