New York’s St. Vartan Cathedral will hold a special service on the evening of Sunday, Sep. 15, at 6:30 p.m., to celebrate Khatchveratz: the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. Diocesan Primate Fr. Daniel Findikyan will preside over a Medz Antasdan service, with clergy and deacons from the region participating. Worshippers will be able to venerate a rarely-seen treasure of the cathedral: a relic of the True Cross. All are welcome. The service will start at 6:30 p.m., at the cathedral (630 Second Ave., New York) and runs about 90 minutes. (Please note that the morning Divine Liturgy on Sep. 15 will go forward at its customary time, starting at 10:30 a.m. Archbishop Vicken Aykazian will celebrate.) Click here to view a flyer.
