The Department of Youth and Young Adult Ministries successfully completed its 2018 Lenten Retreat season, with three ACYOA Juniors regional retreats. Collectively, there were 92 youth in attendance from across 17 parishes.

The terrible news of a mass shooting in Parkland, Florida, on February 14 re-awakened all the emotions of outrage and pain that we felt after the crimes in Las Vegas, Orlando, San Bernardino, Charleston, Sandy Hook, the Washington Navy Yard, Fort Hood—and others sadly too numerous to comprehend.
2018 ACYOA Seniors Chapter Workshop
From January 19 to 21, 47 young adults from 18 parishes across the Eastern Diocese gathered at St. David Armenian Church in Boca Raton, FL for the annual ACYOA Seniors Chapter Workshop. Organized by the ACYOA Central Council, the weekend’s theme was “Stewardship: Time, Talent, and Treasure.”
Christmas Party Brightens FAR Children’s Center
The young residents of the FAR Children’s Center in Yerevan, Armenia, received a memorable Christmas celebration filled with gifts, clothes and a special visit from Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of America, on December 22, 2017.
Communication is Key at ACYOA’s 2017 Leadership Conference
The Eastern Diocese’s annual “ACYOA Leadership Conference” brought together young adults from 20 parishes on November 17-19. Some 43 young adults—almost half of whom were first-time participants—gathered at the St. Iakovos Retreat Center in Kansasville, WI, for the conference organized by the ACYOA Central Council.
