A passionately interested audience gathered on Thursday evening, May 26, at the Diocesan Center in New York, to view exquisite photographs of churches and villages in Artsakh, and hear from Dr. Marina Mchitarian, who had spent weeks in early 2020 visiting Artsakh and speaking with its inhabitants.
With great regret, the Eastern Diocese mourns the sudden loss of Zaven Tachdjian, a longtime and beloved leader of the Armenian Church, who passed away unexpectedly Friday (May 27), after a brief hospital stay.

St. Nersess Armenian Seminary held its 2022 graduation ceremony on Saturday, May 21. Diocesan Primate Fr. Mesrop Parsamyan presided over the occasion, where graduating seminarian Dn. Adam Bullock received his Master of Divinity degree from St. Nersess and St. Vladimir’s seminaries.
The Eastern Diocese mourns the loss of Joseph Kalemkerian, of Trumbull, CT: an ordained deacon and lifelong devoted servant of the Armenian Church, who passed away in the company of his loved ones on April 30, at age 90.
