At New York’s St. Vartan Armenian Cathedral, a very special event took place on Sunday morning, October 30, 2016.
High ranking Armenian clergymen from around the world, digniaries from America’s east and west coast dioceses, and a large number of faithful welcomed the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, His Holiness Karekin II, for a celebration of the 17th anniversary of his enthronement as leader of the global Armenian Church.

An innovative new campaign called Our Church Our Legacy-launched this month by the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of America-aims to inspire and strengthen the faith of every Armenian, and to make their faith relevant to daily life.
Over Columbus Day weekend, 248 ACYOA Juniors from 16 parishes throughout the Eastern Diocese gathered for the annual ACYOA Juniors Fall Sports Weekend, hosted by St. Sahag and St. Mesrob Church in Wynnewood, PA.
The Fund for Armenian Relief’s Board of Directors spent a week in Armenia during September. In an intense itinerary of meetings, events, and discussions, the board members reviewed FAR projects, evaluated the use of FAR’s resources, and examined the performance of FAR’s staff in Armenia as they meet the goals of the organization’s mission in Armenia and Karabagh.
