The benches share a “family resemblance” with ones familiar throughout Yerevan, and make for a cozy resting place amid Connor Park’s beautiful landscaping and surrounding architecture.
The Honorary Consul for the Republic of Armenia in Chicago, Oscar Tatosian, welcomed the crowd to the dedication ceremony, which included formal speeches by dignitaries and a performance by youthful Armenian folk dancers.
