March 29, 2026, was a special Palm Sunday at St. Thomas Armenian Church of Tenafly, NJ, as the parish was honored with the presence of Diocesan Primate Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan, who celebrated the Divine Liturgy, delivered the homily, and presided over a celebratory banquet marking the 61st anniversary of the consecration of the church.
His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, presided over the celebration of Palm Sunday on March 29, at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
Holy Week signals the end of the Lenten period of separation, and a return to the full life of the church. The coming Holy Week will go forward in the Eastern Diocese with in-person worship as well as the online broadcast of services.
