A NOTE TO OUR EDUCATORS:
The Eastern Diocese is currently planning a new website dedicated to Diocesan Ministries, where resources from our Christian Education and Armenian Studies departments will be available.
Until that website is launched, all resources from our Armenian Studies department can be accessed at a temporary “holding site” at www.diocesanministries.us. There you can download Armenian School resources, access the Armenian Studies Blog, and learn about available courses.
The Armenian Studies program initiatives of the Diocesan Department of Youth and Education focus on Armenian schools, teacher training and enrichment, parish initiatives, curriculum, learning resources, and Diocesan cultural programs for teens and adults. In addition to teaching the Armenian language at all levels of proficiency to school age students and learners of all ages, the Armenian Language Program also works to educate people about the history, traditions, and culture of Armenia.
The staff spreads awareness of the Armenian heritage through workshops, classes, presentations, lectures, publications, and a variety of other resources. Gilda Buchakjian Kupelian is director of Armenian language education, and can be reached via e-mail by clicking here.
