On Wednesday, July 22, Diocesan Primate Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan attended the official reception welcoming the leader of the worldwide Malankara Syrian Orthodox Church.
The occasion marked the first pastoral visit to North America by His Beatitude Aboon Mor Baselios Joseph, Catholicos and Maphrian of India and Metropolitan of Malankara.
The reception was hosted by the Malankara Archdiocese of the Syrian Orthodox Church in North America, with Bishop Mesrop attending at the gracious invitation of His Eminence Mor Titus Yeldho. Accompanying the Primate was Diocesan Vicar Fr. Simeon Odabashian.
At the gathering, Bishop Mesrop warmly welcomed His Beatitude and conveyed his heartfelt greetings and prayers for a blessed and fruitful pastoral visit. He also expressed his joy in participating in this significant occasion, which reflected the deep spiritual fellowship, apostolic heritage, and enduring bonds of love shared by the Oriental Orthodox churches.
