The long-awaited summer season of the Diocesan Camps launched on July 3—to the excitement of campers, families, camp directors and staffers. For all involved, the 2022 camp season represents a resumption of the traditional live camping experience, after two years of “virtual” camps.
At St. Vartan Camp, eager campers arrived at the Diocese’s Ararat Center in Greenville, NY, to begin two weeks of fun, faith, fellowship and friendship in the camp’s inaugural Session A. The campers many activities have included a special July 4th celebration, prayer services, outdoor sports, and a campfire cookout.
Still to come at St. Vartan Camp are sessions B and C, running July 17-30, and July 31-August 13, respectively. In our Midwest region, the Diocese’s Hye Camp is gearing up for its camp week, slated to run August 6-13 at Camp Hickory in Ingleside, IL.
