It was an evening of fun, fellowship, feasting and special music in the Haik and Alice Kavookjian Auditorium of the Diocesan Center on Saturday, February 14. More than 200 people from the metropolitan area, as well as from nearby states, had come to celebrate Poon Paregentan (the Armenian “Mardi Gras”) and Valentine’s Day with friends, and hear celebrated singer Farah Siraj who has been hailed as a “musical ambassadress.”
The 12th meeting of the International Joint Commission for Theological Dialogue between the Catholic Church and the Oriental Orthodox Churches took place in Rome from January 24 to 31, 2015.
More than 35 young adults from 11 parishes across the Eastern Diocese gathered in St. Petersburg, FL, this month for the annual ACYOA Seniors Chapter Workshop. The weekend of reflection, worship, leadership building, and fellowship was led and organized by the ACYOA Central Council.
A fresh dusting of snow greeted worshippers making their way to St. Vartan Armenian Cathedral in New York to celebrate the Feast of the Nativity and Theophany of Our Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday morning, January 6. Inside the sanctuary, many paused to light candles, setting in motion a warm dance of light in the cathedral narthex.
