Rev. Fr. Abraham Ohanesian

Rev. Fr. Abraham Ohanesian was born Michael Ohanesian on April 12, 1947, in Pontiac, MI.

Fr. Ohanesian holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics, a master's degree in computer science, a master's degree in industrial engineering, and a Master of Divinity degree.

Prior to his priestly ordination, he served the Armenian Church as a deacon at parishes in Cleveland, OH; Niagara Falls, NY; Waukegan, IL; and Chicago, IL.

He was ordained to the holy priesthood on February 9, 1999, by Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, Primate of the Eastern Diocese at St. John’s Armenian Church in Southfield, MI.

Fr. Abraham and his wife Shake are blessed with two sons, Michael Kay and Vartan Kevork.
