Այսօրուայ աւետարանին հատուածը կը կազմէ Ղուկասի 16րդ գլուխը: Աւետարանիչը կը ներկայացնէ Տէր Յիսուսի ուսուցումը՝ թէ ո՛րն է ճշմարիտ կերպը տնտեսելու մեր նիւթական հարստութիւնը: Տիրոջ երեք անջատ խօսքեր թէ՝ ինչպէս կարելի է մտնել իր արքայութիւնը, Աստուծոյ օրէնքին յաւիտենական նկարագիրը, եւ ամուսնութեան անլուծանելի ըլլալը՝ կը կապեն իմաստուն տնտեսին, եւ աղքատ Ղազարոսին առակները. առակներ, զորս միայն Ղուկաս կ’աւանդէ:
The steward is a figure who comes up in many of Jesus’ parables—a “stock character,” we might say, who would have been very recognizable to Christ’s listeners.
