The Eastern Diocese’s “Sacred Music Festival”—a gathering of choir singers, directors, instrumentalists, and lovers of Armenian sacred music from throughout the Diocese—will be an online event this year.
St. Vartan Cathedral was aglow on Friday, December 6, with a festive concert of spiritual and folk music by Gomidas Vartabed, featuring the renowned Gomidas Choir.
A three-day celebration of Armenian Church music brought clergy, deacons, choir singers, instrumentalists, and lovers of liturgical music to the St. James of Nisibis Church in Evanston, IL, over the weekend of October 4-6.
Next weekend, the St. James Church in Evanston, IL, will be the site for the Eastern Diocese’s “Sacred Music Festival”—a gathering of choir singers, directors, instrumentalists, and lovers of Armenian sacred music from throughout the Diocese.
The Khrimian Lyceum graduation was held on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at the Diocesan Center in New York. The event, sponsored by the Diocese’s Armenian Studies department, celebrated the ongoing mission of the prestigious “immersion program” in Armenian heritage and culture.
