On Friday, August 7, at 3 p.m., and again during Sunday services, Diocesan parishes will offer this prayer for the people and land of Lebanon.
A Prayer for Lebanon
O Heavenly Father, in your infinite grace and mercy, hear this fervent plea for our brothers and sisters in the Land of the Cedars, who have been brought to their knees with this recent devastation.
We beseech you, O Lord, to calm and quiet the grief of Lebanon, to console her broken-hearted, to heal her sorrows, and bring peace to her beleaguered soul.
In Lebanon’s time of need, we implore you Lord God to ease the pain of her wounded, make them whole again, comfort their suffering loved ones, and grant steadfast encouragement to those who are caring for the injured.
O Holy Spirit we call out to you to breathe hope into the weary eyes of Lebanon, and embrace her grieving heart with your divine mercy, as we pray for the repose of her departed souls and peace and healing for her people. Now and always and unto the ages and ages. Amen.

Աղօթք Վասն Լիբանանու
ՏէրԱստուածմեր, պարգեւէ մեզի քու խաղաղութիւնդ նամանաւանդ այս օրերուն յատկապէս Մայրիներու երկրի մէջ տեղի ունեցած ահաւոր աղէտին եւ անոր պատճառով մարդկայինզոհերու, վիրաւորներու և անդորրը կորսնցուցած զաւակներուդ հետ միատեղ սփոփելու անոնց ցաւ ու վիշտը։ Կը հայցենք քեզմէ Լիբանանի արկածի հետեւանքով զոհուածներուն՝ հոգու հանգստութիւն, վիրաւորներուն՝ մարմնոյ առողջութիւն և մեզի՝ մխիթարութիւն։
Ծնկաչոք կ’աղերսեմ, բարերար Տէր, եղիր մեր տէրն ու ապաւէնը այս ծանր օրերուն, վանէ մեզմէ նմանատիպ փորձանքներ եւ պարգեւէ կատարեալ առողջութիւն և շնորհք` գոյատեւելու համար առանց գայթակղութեան այլ Աստուածսիրութեամբ։
Տէր Աստուածմեր, Քո անսահման ողորմութեամբդ, լսէ մեր սրտերու աղերսանքը Մայրիներու երկրի մեր քոյրերու և եղբայրներուն համար որ այս օրերուն կապրին ահաւոր ծանր պահեր։ Կ’աղերսենք Քեզի, ով Տէր ամենակալ, փարատէ Լիբանանի ժողովուրդի ցաւերն ու վիշտը, մխիթարէ անոնց քո ամենառատ ողորմութեամբ, որպէսզի այս աղետալի օրերուն Լիբանանի վիրաւոր և կաթուածահար ժողովուրդը ի մի գալով իր տանջանքներու սփոփանքը գտնէ իրենց հարազատներուն հետ միասին։ Թող Սուրբ Հոգին իր ներգործութեամբ լուսաւորէ Լիբանանի ժողովուրդը, ի մխիթարութիւն և ի հանգստութիւն, այժմ և միշտ յաւիտեանս, Ամէն։
