New York’s St. Vartan Cathedral will hold a special service on the evening of Sunday, Sep. 16, at 6 p.m., to celebrate Khatchveratz: the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. Diocesan Primate Fr. Daniel Findikyan will preside over a Medz Antasdan service, with clergy and deacons from the region participating. Worshippers will be able to venerate a rarely-seen treasure of the cathedral: a relic of the True Cross. All are welcome. The service will start at 6 p.m., at the cathedral (630 Second Ave., New York) and runs about 90 minutes. A reception on the plaza will follow. (Please note that the Divine Liturgy on Sep. 16 will go forward at its customary time, starting at 10:30 a.m.) Click on the links to read more and view a flyer.
