New York’s Episcopal Cathedral of St. John the Divine will host an ecumenical Evensong service as part of this year’s “Week of Prayer for Christian Unity,” on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025, 4-5 p.m., at the Episcopal cathedral (1047 Amsterdam Ave., b/n W. 110th and W. 113th Sts., New York City). Diocesan Primate Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan and distinguished church leaders from New York City’s Eastern and Western traditions will gather to pray for Christian Unity. All are welcome to this meaningful service. This year’s service will honor the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea, which will be observed by Christians around the world throughout 2025.
