To mark Thanksgiving, Diocesan Primate Bishop Daniel issued the greeting below to the faithful of the Eastern Diocese:
“Be patient; keep your heart stable. For the Lord is coming, and he is at hand.” (Epistle of St. James 5:8)
His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, was in America this week to bestow a rare distinction on two lifelong servants and defenders of the Armenian Church.
Pastors from throughout the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of America met during October and November 2019 for a series of “Armenian Clergy Continuing Education Gatherings.”
Thanksgiving is one of the most meaningful holidays of the year: a rare, uniquely American holiday, in which the whole country sets aside a day of each year to express thanks for the bounties of God.
