ACYO North American Conference
Thirteen current and former Central Council members from across the Armenian Church Youth Organization (ACYO) of the Eastern and Western Dioceses came together in late June at St. Nersess Seminary in Armonk, NY, for the 2016 ACYO North American Conference.
Holy Virgin Mary and Shoghagat Church Marks 60 Years
Last weekend, parishioners at Holy Virgin Mary and Shoghagat Church of Belleville, IL, observed the 60th anniversary of the consecration of the area’s original church in nearby East St. Louis. Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of America (Eastern), celebrated the Divine Liturgy, ordained altar servers, and joined the community for a banquet.
2016 ACYOA General Assembly and Sports Weekend

Youth and clergy from across the Eastern Diocese gathered in Boston, MA, last weekend for the 70th annual ACYOA General Assembly and Sports Weekend.
The General Assembly was held on May 26 and 27, at the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel in downtown Boston. Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, Primate of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of America, presided over the assembly.
Hye M’rtsoom Program Held in Watertown
ACYOA Juniors gathered over Memorial Day weekend at St. James Church of Watertown, MA, for the 41st annual Hye M’rtsoom program. The parish hosted 211 participants from 14 parishes across the Diocese for a weekend of worship, sports, and fellowship.
