Evanston Parish Marks 70 Years
Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of America (Eastern), visited St. James Church of Evanston, IL, on Sunday October 25, where he consecrated four new icons and blessed a new khatchkar installed on church grounds. The occasion marked the 70th anniversary of the church’s consecration.

A New Sculpture at St. Vartan Cathedral
Through the centuries, artists have grappled with the portrayal of human suffering. For Armenian-American artist Michael Aram, who set out to make a sculpture to commemorate the centennial year of the Armenian Genocide of 1915, the central question was this: “How would I start telling the story of my family, and the millions like them, who found no words to tell their own story?”
