The Department of Youth and Young Adult Ministries successfully completed its 2018 Lenten Retreat season, with three ACYOA Juniors regional retreats. Collectively, there were 92 youth in attendance from across 17 parishes.
During a meeting at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin on February 20-23, under the presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, the Armenian Church’s Supreme Spiritual Council reviewed the past year’s developments at the Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople, and discussed the prospect of organizing patriarchal elections.

Shahe Ananyan, Ecumenical Relations director of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, traveled to the Vatican this week to discuss an upcoming ceremony that will honor an Armenian saint.
The Diocese of the Armenian Church of America (Eastern) has taken an active role in the upcoming “Armenia!” exhibition at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Set to open on September 21, 2018, on the 27th anniversary of Armenia’s independence, this large-scale exhibition will cover Armenian art in the medieval period, between the 4th through 17th centuries, and feature significant examples from around the world.
