The membership of the Diocesan Council and the Diocesan Board of Trustees met on Tuesday evening, October 19, in a special virtual gathering. Diocesan Primate Bishop Daniel presided over the occasion.
The topic of the meeting was to continue discussions on longstanding issues pertaining to the future of the physical structure of the Diocesan Center in New York City. The leadership bodies heard feasibility reports based on the serious research that has been undertaken over many months to assess the needs of the complex.
While no decisions were made during the October 19 meeting, the Diocesan Council and Board of Trustees are continuing to look at all possibilities, and will meet again in the near term.
“The Council and Board made real progress during the meeting,” said Bishop Daniel. “Everyone involved is working towards a higher goal of determining the best outcome for the Diocesan Complex and the community overall, and that’s where we will continue to prayerfully focus our efforts and hearts.”
